The Continual of a "food blog"
Monday, October 29, 2007

A Food Blog this must be. Just a summary of the interesting places which i'd been in the past few months. Guess that should be the highlights of my life after University. :-(
Let me start off with this mini-road trip which Progistics went. Destination: Kuala Lumpur and Malacca. Mission: Food, food and more food. I actually brought along a foodguide for Malaysia during the trip and to my own astonishment, we completed almost half of what were recommended. **Burppp** (satay sauce Lok Lok, chicken rice ball, chee chiong fun, durian chendol, mata kuching, "lao shu fen"). Oh and lotsa unidentified local food along the way...

Then there was once when Kylie and I went "Senso". Went to this place quite some time back. Great outdoor ambience to enjoy fine dining. Check out the yummy Tiramisu. An all-time favourite and i supposed i will love to try Tiramisu from different places. I can't really remember what i felt for the raw-looking dish which i'm supposed to finish (bottom left corner pic).
So... Work started for everyone. Some found jobs, some got pay raise, some received bonus and so, meal treats somehow become a norm for such occasion. There was one occasion where we headed to Paddy Fields @ Anchorpoint (which seem to have moved or closed down). Simple dishes and nothing very spectacular about. Not sure if i'd remembered wrongly that some1 actually commented that the food is good.

Then there was Broth @ Duxton Hill. A road hidden somewhere near Chinatown. Chanced upon a blog that was raving about this small restaurant and reservations is compulsory. I see why this is so with the limited number of seats they have.

Finally, there is Wild Rockets @ Mount Emily. The owner of the place, lawyer-turned-cook believes that people should not mind travelling a little for great food. A quiet charm located behind Plaza Singapura, with a list of interesting fusion food. They even serve wine by half-bottle capacity - just the right amount to go along with dinner for 2.

A brief summary of my dining experience in Singapore . . .

Alrighty, enough of sounding like a glutton. :-)
