Went Doc Cheng @ Raffles hotel to try out FUSION cuisine - What i've been wanting to try as it really brings out the creativity of the chef. Thanks to Kylie for the recommendation and the early-celebration for my 22nd.
Got to try the Indian, Chinese, European and Middle-eastern flavours all in one single meal. This is really interesting.
We get peanuts before our first dish in Chinese restaurants, bread loaf in western ones and papaduum in Indian ones etc. For this particular fusion restaurants, they served us Naan with Yoghurt. Alright, once again taking pictures of ... hmmm.. let's see... the candle, the flower and the long and heavy fork and knife. kylie prepared this for me to add on the blog:
Cindy:
Entree: Egg "Son-in-law"
Main: Drunken Chicken "supreme"
Dessert: apple tatin
Kylie:
Entree: Peikin Duck Pancake
Main: Tandoori Trout
Dessert: Mascarpone Mango Parfait
Just by looking at the names, it sounded really cross-cultured - 'tandoori' (indian), 'parfait' (european), 'drunken'(chinese)' etc. Cool yah?
Don't you think what i wore blend in so nicely with their table?
ok ya... i know.. food again.. well, live to eat is a total leisure. Live to eat and not having to worry about WEIGHT is another story. sigh...
