My housemate has been warning me, the weather forecast has been showing negative signs for the mth of April, the locals have been scaring me and TODAY, I FINALLY EXPERIENCED the REAL CANADIAN WINTER. I walked out of my house this mornin to be 'slapped' by snow on my face. Im not kidding... it's painful... The weather forecast has warned us of snowsquall for the next few days. If im unlucky(which is wat happened this morning), i have to walk against the direction of the wind and so The violent wind will either sweep the snow from the ground or blow the falling snow right towards me. No use bundling up. The problem now doesnt lie with the low temperature but the snow. Didnt expect something so fine, pure and innocent-looking to be so nasty. Argghhh... wonder how i'm going to survive the 30mins walk from today onwards... The strong gust of wind swayed me 3-4steps to the side when im not even light.

i had never give a damn to news report of the the weather in singapore. Now, i check the website like crazy to keep myself updated of the current temperature in Canada. My favourite site: http://www.weathernetwork.ca/weather/cities/can/Pages/CAON0728.htm. This site actually tells us what the temperature 'feels like' with the wind chill.

The snow has accumulated to about 15-20cm. I have trouble stepping out of it. Will show a picture of the thickness of the accumulated snow when my face is more protected and i don't find such difficulty digging out my camera.

There are basically 3types of snowfall which i have experienced. Snowsquall is just one of them and it's the worst! It''s heavy snow accompanied by strong wind. But a short period of snowsquall will have a gd accummulation which is perrrfffeccctttt for TOBOGGANING. The other type is known as flurries. Those are light snowfalls and are really common. A 'modification' of this is the wet flurries which is like partially-solid-rain. It's easy to make snowballs with this material due to the moisture content.

ok, end of lesson! let's pray that the temperature will get better SOON...
