shall talk abt the things i did on my first day at waterloo. Spent entire new year's eve at missousaga and toronto... dissapointing waterloo seems quite dead because of the holiday on 01-01-06. The streets are not only quiet, most of the shops not open and and the trees are not moving.. everything is still and the entire land is almost white (covered with snow). So... waited for the next day(02-01-06) to buy things to "improve" my living...









FIRST GROCERIES SHOPPING:
They have wholesales groceries store called "wholesale". Dairy products are kept in a big and cold room which is like walking into a refrigerator. So interesting! the whole place is so spacious and the there are so many varieties to choose from. The top right corner is a pic of the different mixtures they have for pastries baking. Cupcakes, waffles, tarts, cakes etc. Can't wait to try baking all of them...Woohoo.. Check out the load on my trolley. This reali explains why my fav place in S'pore is Careffour.




FIRST PAID MEAL:
This is my first paid meal when i reach canada. The previous day was meals at the house of the landlord's family. And they were all indian food. That was a big pita and we have unlimited number of choices of the things we would like to have in our pita. I decided to be adventurous and try almost all the sauces and ingredients to make my money worth - $8 for just like that andNo drinks. And it's not fantastic!



So after that, my landlord brought me to her friend's place as she is feeling sad that her work is starting soon and hope to see someone familiar to talk to and also to watch DVD. Luckily for that, i had better food to complete my lousy meal before that. Pizzas and cookies... that sounds better




FIRST HOME-MADE TV:
And this is the TV which was used to watch the DVD. complicating hah! My landlord and her fren are from Mechatronics Engineering which means a combination of mechanical, electronics and computer system. Such combo brain is crazy and so, this tv is made by her friend.. I'm so amazed as the TV works pretty well(though it's abit ugly-looking). oh no...Will i be competing my with such smart people from my field?

damn, even my pass/fail modules that i'm taking here is at risk. Help....
