1) WCRI (Waterloo Co-operative Residences Incorporated)
The rooms are big. Didnt choose this option because i want to experience something different and not stay at somewhere which is almost similar to temasek or raffles hall.
The best part of this hostel is the short distance to the Engineering faculty. If i had knew that i can't take the cold, i would haf taken this option no matter what.
Another good thing about this is the mealplan. The soup (cream of mushroom, potato, clam chowder, tomato, chicken bits etc) is really yummy and the variety is so much more and BETTER than the caterer in Singapore. Muffins, croissant, brownies, banana custard, salard, ice cream, hot chocolate, fish and chip, RICE and the list goes on. Oh, and it's really rare seeing people having rice here. Anyway, i can't help it but asked my fren to smuggle me in for FREE food at times (thanks dap and kailin). I've been there so often that the 2gals have to ask me where i get 'salad dressing'.
One bad thing abt this place is the bed which is about 70cm high. Falling off the bed is no joke...
The 2 gals have no internet connection in their room. Trying very hard to tap into people's wireless connection Every night. Think i have the best deal and is among the first few among them to get internet acess . . . AND the 1st to experience a "trouble-maker-"laptop.
Oh, Since it's called "co-operative" residence, they have to serve food or wash dishes twice a week. I thought it was rather fun. Then i can give more food for cute ang-moh. heehee

2. Village 1
This hall is located right at the centre of the whole campus. It's really convenient. I was initially allocated to this accommodation but due to its compulsory meal plan, i decided not to take it up. Afterwhich i realized that residents from village 1 are allowed to consume their meals at any food outlet within the campus. sigh... This hall has alot of facilities. The cafeteria sells a wide range of food, and TV, oven, pool table, study rooms, computer servicing, DVD rental and games are available. The heater in the room is powerful and up-to-me to control. DON'T HAVE TO KEEP IT AT A CERTAIN TEMPERATURE LIKE WHAT I'M GOING THROUGH NOW!!! Due to the convenience (don't have to walk 20mins to sch) and the warmth, i decided to sleepover. Really miss the days when i can sleep in shorts and tee-shirt... so ta-dahhhh!!! Since it was a last minute decision, i didnt bring anything along. Borrowed everything from sara and joo. oh my.. it's soooo fitting. Thanks gals! It has been a long time since i get to wake up in the morning with my feet and hands warm...
Oh and the room has this big wall which they can paste notes, photos and maps. I have to BUY if i want to paste such things. Since less than 10 girls staying on the whole level and outsiders gain no access to that storey of rooms, Joo can walk out of the toilet in towel after bathing... heehee!
Hmmm, well, they know interesting ppl from their hall while i only haf my housemates who keep offering beer. Sigh... i HATE beer!!! can't they offer me food. p.s my housemates can really cook... pizza, pasta, rice etc... BUT, i didnt get to try any... :(

There are many other types of accommodation
in-campus but i have no friends staying there. There's thing hong-kong exchange student who told me that he's stayin in his dreamhouse (Columbia Lake Village). The place is at the other end of school so i didnt manage to see it but according to the map, the whole place is surrounded by lake. wow... I tried applying but couldn't get. Will definitely visit that place one of these days..
oh my, i have not been doing any work... keep telling myself that im on exchange...so don't have to work too hard.. damn...it's bullshit... my tons of assignment are going to be due soon... help!!!
